The Bentley 3500/53 module has the following main functional features:
Overspeed protection: This module is capable of receiving speed pulse input signals from proximity sensors or magneto electric sensors, and using these signals to drive alarms. It provides four types of fast response alarm relay outputs to achieve machine protection.
High reliability: Adopting advanced microprocessor technology and high-quality electronic components to ensure stable operation in harsh environments.
Quick response: The system drives alarms by continuously comparing the current machine speed with the preset alarm set point, thereby achieving machine protection.
Multiple sensor support: Supports multiple sensor signals, including signals from proximity probe sensors or magnetic pickups.
Status indication: The module has multiple LED indicator lights to indicate the operating status, communication status, and other important information of the module.
Bently Nevada’s Electronic Overspeed Detection System for the 3500 Series Machinery Detection System provides a highly reliable, fast response, redundant tachometer system intended specifically for use as part of an overspeed protection system. It is designed to meet the requirements of American Petroleum Institute Standards 670 and 612 pertaining to overspeed protection.
3500/53 modules can be combined to form a 2-out-of-2 or2-out-of-3 (recommended) voting system.
The use of redundant power supplies in a 3500 rackcontaining the Overspeed Detection System is required.
Each Overspeed Detection module accepts a single transducer signal from a proximity probe transducer or magnetic pickup. The input signal range is +10.0 V to -24.0 V. Signals exceeding this range are limited internally by the module.
