BENTLY NEVADA   3500/92   Communication Gateway

The 3500/92 communication gateway has extensive communication capabilities and can integrate monitoring data and status of all frameworks with process control and other automation systems through Ethernet TCP/IP and serial (RS232/RS422/RS485) communication protocols. It also supports Ethernet communication with 3500 framework configuration software and data acquisition software.

The supported protocols include:
•  Modicon Modbus ® (Through serial communication)
•   Modbus/TCP (another form of serial Modbus used for TCP/IP Ethernet communication)
•   Some Bentley Nevada protocols (communicate with 3500 framework configuration and data acquisition software packages)
The Ethernet connection for 3500/92 is an RJ45 connection for 10BASE-T star configuration Ethernet.
The 3500/92 supports the communication interface, communication protocol, and other functions of the original 3500/90, except for the main value Modbus registers. 3500/92 now has a configurable Modbus register utility that can provide the same functionality originally solved by master Modbus registers.

OK LED: Indicates that 3500/92 is operating normally.
TX/RX LED: Instructions - Communicate with other modules in the 3500 framework.
