Feedline protection and measurement unit REF542plus (IEC)
Introduction: The REF542plus feeder protection and measurement and control unit integrates functions such as protection, control, measurement, communication, and monitoring. The same unit can be used for feeder protection, transformer protection, motor protection and control, and can also be used separately as a control device.
All these functions are implemented through a programmable environment. This flexibility and scalability enable REF542plus to implement almost all quadratic schemes, even those that traditional methods cannot achieve.
Whether equipped with a backend system or not, REF542plus is an excellent solution for digital control and protection of medium voltage switchgear. The product consists of a separate host and human-machine interface (HMI), connected by shielded twisted pair cables.
The host includes a power board, motherboard, analog and switch input and output, as well as other expansion function cards. HMI has a separate power supply. It can be installed on the low-voltage room door panel or in other locations near the main unit, providing great spatial flexibility for the installation of the device inside the switchgear.
